Related meanings

verb, noun: object, complain, protest.  This sign is reserved for "louder" complaints, such as a large protest, or a movement.

The scowl is more pronounced, with a show of anger.  Uses a sharp, single movement (blow to the chest).

Examples:
The students objected against the unfair hiring practices at Gallaudet.







verb, noun:  to complain or gripe

Note that the non manual markers is more of a wince than a scowl - as if the complaining a minor inconvenience. This is generally signed with a double movement
