Movement:  The dominant hand moves towards the stationary base hand, palm brushing upward against the thumb-side.  Mimics the movement of the ocean wave.
Palm orientation:  Faces down, with fingers pointing out towards reader.
Usage:  There may be a couple regional variations.   For example, some Deaf prefer to fingerspell the word, because it flows very nicely on the fingers:  b-e-a-c-h.
