The instructor will sign 15 sentences and 10 vocabulary words and fingerspell 5
words and students will write down the English translation.

* Each word is worth 4 points. If two or more words are wrong, the entire
sentence will be marked wrong. If
an entire concept is missed, then the entire sentence is marked wrong.
How to Prepare for the Exam
q Four of the sentences used for the exams are taken
directly from the lessons material preceding the exam. Know the sentences! Review
the lessons often.
q Four of the sentences used for the exams
will be random, created by the teacher. preceding the exam. Know the
vocabulary. Review the vocabulary often.
q Study the vocabulary. If you have to
create flash cards. Print out the study sheets. Have someone drill
you. Be aware of the
signing parameters
of each word. Beware of the
similarities between certain signs.
q Practice your fingerspelling reading skills.
Visit http://www.asl.ms/ often. Bump up
the speed and try to get as many as you can right. Most students confuse
"d" & "f". Watch out for that.
q Study the numbers. You need to know
1-10,
11-20,
21-30,
31-40,
41-99,
100-900,
1000 and up. Most students commonly confuse 6 & 9. Watch out for
that.
